DOI: 10.30906/2073-8099-2020-12-3-14-21 The presented article discusses approaches to two-dimensional printing in pharmaceutical technology. This method of manufacturing dosage forms has become relevant, in connection with the development of personalized medicine, and in particular the diagnosis and the ability to select an effective dose for each patient. The technology of two-dimensional printing allows you to provide an individual dosage of the patient during drug therapy. The classification of 2D printing methods is based on the ways in which it is possible to print a dosage form. The existing technologies and their practical application are shown. The advantages and disadvantages of 2D printing methods are demonstrated, as well as the features of existing equipment, substrates and solutions for pharmaceutical printing. Analyzed literature data describing research in the field presented and made a conclusion about the prospects of this development, as well as the need for regulatory and technological improvement of the method of 2D printing.
