Single step synthesis of 2,4-dicyanonaphthylamines from synthetic equivalents of α-cyanoalkynes

Nitrile thioethers R–CBrC(SEt)CN 4 react like α-alkynenitriles with ambiphilic derivatives, as shown by a new synthesis of naphthylamines.
