The present invention discloses a light emitting device and a method for preparing an organic electroluminescence. The organic electroluminescent device comprising an anode, a hole transport layer, an organic light emitting layer, electron transport layer and a cathode, the electron transport layer is doped with an active metal and an organic metal complex compound, wherein said active metal compound is an alkali metal compound, an alkaline earth metal compound or a lanthanide metal compound. The preparation method comprises: sequentially etching pattern anode, a hole transport layer and the deposited organic light emitting layer on the ITO glass substrate; electron transporting material were deposited on the organic emission layer, an organic metal complex, reactive metal compound forming an electron transport layer; deposition cathode on the electron transport layer. The present invention can be obtained a lower driving voltage, higher efficiency from the cathode structure, and may be more widely used as a cathode material.
