Systemic lupus erythematosus: a multisystem autoimmune disorder.

2000
: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic illness that has no known cause. As an autoimmune, inflammatory disease, it can affect various organs in different ways. A plan of care unique to each individual with SLE is essential to its management.
