V 51 ( He 3 , d ) Cr 52 Reaction and Shell-Model Calculations for Cr 52
1973
Angular distributions of the ($^{3}\mathrm{He},d$) reaction on $^{51}\mathrm{V}$ have been measured at 10.48 MeV with a counter telescope. Spectroscopic factors and $l$ values of $^{52}\mathrm{Cr}$ levels up to 7 MeV excitation energy were obtained by comparing the data with distorted-wave Born-approximation theory. Some unreported levels excited by $l=1$ proton transfer have been observed. Shell-model calculations predict well the $1{f}_{\frac{7}{2}}$ spectroscopic strength, but fail in reproducing the observed $2{p}_{\frac{3}{2}}$ strength.
