The GRAZ 63-channel body surface potential mapping system

1996
A 63 channel body surface potential mapping system has been developed. The system consists of a signal conditioning unit and a personal computer based data aquisition unit. Sixty-three Ag/AgCl electrodes are positioned on the anterior and posterior side of the human thorax. The positions of the electrodes are determined with a magnetic tracker system (Flock of Birds(R)). For analog-digital conversion an AT-MIO-64E-3 card is used, installed in a 100 MHz Pentium personal computer. The developed software is based on a graphical programming language (LabVIEW(R)). The system can be used as a tool for noninvasive functional cardiac electrical imaging.
