Influences of Different Application Rates of Biochar on Soil Water Characteristic Curve and Its simulation

2016
To discover the influences of different application rates of biochar on soil water characteristic curve and its simulation model, the field experiment was conducted to find out the variation law of soil water content under different soil suctions ,application rates of 0,25 t/hm2, 50t/hm2, 75t/hm2 and 100t/hm2. The Van Genuchten, Brooks-Corey and Gardner model were established for the curves’ simulation under different application rates of biochar in the black soil region , the simulations were carried out separately to the soil water characteristic curve under the five treatments above and the results showed that all the three models reached high simulation precisions, respectively were above 0.99,0.95 and 0.97. The relationships between different application rates of biochar and parameters of each model also were analysed through the regression analysis, then the cubic function relationships were got between them .All the studies above provided theoretical basics for the water management on cultivated land and its relevant researches under the applications of biochar in the black soil region.
