Single-channel multi-color correlation analysis

The invention relates to a method for detecting luminescent molecules by optical excitation in confocal measuring volumes, wherein different species of luminescent molecules are excited at different times in a sample and the emission radiation of the different species coming from the measuring volume is picked up by a single detector. The invention also relates to a device which is suitable for implementing said method.
