Alkylaromatic derivatives of (2-furyl)cyclopropane

1. Alkylaromatic derivatives of (2-furyl)cyclopropane were obtained as mixtures of∼15% cis and ∼85% trans isomers by the decomposition of the corresponding pyrazolines according to Huang-Minlon. 2. In comparison with the Kishner method, the Huang-Minlon procedure gives the alkylaromatic derivatives of (2-furyl)cyclopropane in 20–30% higher yields.
