Clinical Observation of 128 Cases with Severe Acute Pancreatitis

Objective To discuss the value efficacy and the way of treatment of severe acute pancreatitis ( severe acute pancreatitis, SAP ). Methods To review the clinical data of128 patients with SAP from January 2008 to October 2009. Results 64 cases for Non-operative treatment group , 61 cases were cured, the cure rate was 95.31%, 3 cases were death , the death rate was 4.69%. The cause death was toxic shock, multiple organ failure ( MODS ) and respiratory distress syndrome ( ARDS ) and each for 1 case. 64 cases for Surgical treatment group, 53 cases were cured, the cure rate was 82.81%, 11 cases were death, and the death rate was 17. 19%. The cause death was MODS,Pancreatic necrosis infection, abdominal abscess and gastrointestinal fistula. Conclusion SAP is anxious, condition dangerous, high fatality rate is high-risk acute abdomen, the severity of illness should be considered, and correctly grasp the SAP surgical indications and timing of surgery can be expected to improve the cure rate, and effectively reduce the disease mortality.
