Investigation on Controlling Techniques of Moving Contact Behaviors for Vacuum Circuit Breaker Based on Fuzzy Control

To improve the switching property of the vacuum circuit breaker, a scheme of position feedback control for permanent magnetic actuator vacuum circuit breaker is presented based on fuzzy control. An adaptive fuzzy controller is designed. With Matlab fuzzy and simulink software package, a model is built to simulate the control scheme. The result indicates that the permanent magnetic actuator can keep moving as the reference trajectory under normal conditions, it also verifies that the permanent magnetic actuator has good displacement following ability, it can keep moving according to the given curve even if the ambient temperature, capacitor voltage and other disturbance change. By analyzing on the simulation results, the fuzzy controller is adjusted and modified. Finally, an appropriate controller and the corresponding controlling factors are determined, which have greatly optimized the control effect.
