The invention discloses a smart inventory-taking robot. The robot comprises a mobile base plate (1), an automatic lifting module (2), a 3D vision module (3), and a control system (4). The mobile base plate (1) has the function of navigation; the lifting module (2) is arranged above the mobile base plate (1); the 3D vision module (3) is mounted on the lifting module (2); the 3D vision module (3) is used to obtain the position information of an object relative to the robot; the 3D vision module (3) is used to analyze the information label on the articles to be checked to obtain the detailed information of the articles; the control system (4) can control the automatic lifting module (2) to drive the 3D vision module (3) to ascend or descend; the control system (4) can store the position and detailed information of the articles checked in inventory taking. The smart inventory-taking robot makes use of the machine vision technique to make an inventory of articles at different positions automatically with a high efficiency, and can be used for inventory-taking of many different articles.
