The invention relates to the field of aluminum alloy, in particular to a high-strength high-elongation ratio aluminum alloy and a preparation method thereof. The high-strength high-elongation ratio aluminum alloy comprises the following components by weight percent: 0.8-1.1 percent of Mg, 0.55-0.85 percent of Si, 0.1-0.3 percent of Mn, 0.1-0.3 percent of Zn, less than or equal to 0.02 percent of Ti, and the balance of Al. The copper content of the aluminum alloy is reduced, the content of impurity iron is controlled more strictly, the content of manganese and zinc properly is improved, the ingredient ratio of magnesium and silicon is optimized, the alloy cost is reduced, higher tensile strength and yield strength and favorable plasticity are ensured,, thereby being applied into thin walls, complex sections and industrial sectional bars with high corrosion-resisting performance.
