Surgical Treatment Experience on Spleen Reservation in-situ of 23 Cases with Traumatic Rupture of Spleen

2007
Objective:To discuss the surgical treatment effects on spleen reservation in-situ of the patients with traumatic rupture of spleen. Methods:A total of 23 cases with traumatic rupture of spleen from January 2000 to December 2005 were treated with ligating spleen artery and splenorrhaphy.Results:Twenty-three cases were cured and no patients died after surgery. After the two patients were followed up 2 months~5 years,we found no spleens appeared atrophic, none of thrombocythemia and susceptible condition occurred and the spleens functioned well after they were confirmed by color Doppler ultrasound and CT.Conclusions:The function of spleen in blood and immunity is important to children and adolescents.Whether spleen needs cutting off should be cautiously considered when spleen is at rupture. The reserved splenectomy adopted by the group is safety,it is of significance to prevent complications after splenectomy, and there is worth recommendation.
