Burst-mode CMOS LD driver IC for 156 Mbit/s transmission
1997
A burst-mode CMOS LD driver IC (V/sub dd/=3.3 V) for 156 Mbit/s transmission has been developed for the first time. This driver enables instantaneous control of the amplitude of light signals by an APC-free circuit. We obtained a wide control range for the drive current and pulsewidth, with a small deviation of <+2% between 0 and 70/spl deg/C.
