Recently a preliminary study on the wheel-on-rail ultra-high speed railway is ongoing. This paper aims to evaluate the running safety and ride comfort, by predicting the dynamic behavior of ultrahigh-speed train from the train-track interaction analysis considering the train model with 1-axle bogie and light car body. To take into account for the impact of track irregularity, the vertical track irregularity PSD obtained at the concrete slab track of Kyeong-Bu high speed line. The result shows that the use of 1-axle bogie reduces the fluctuation of wheel load, but the impact of track irregularity on the wheel load variation is greater, which suggests that track irregularity should be maintained with stricter standards.
