Dentine–Pulp Complex Regeneration

Root canal treatments are common procedures in dentistry. In the USA, each year more than 20 million teeth receive root canal treatment, with overall cost over more than US$2 billion. However, in many clinical situations, the decision to perform pulp removal and endodontic treatment is justified only by the absence of therapeutic tools that are able to limit the immune/inflammatory process and to promote dentine and pulp regeneration.
