The Brake Activity of Car Drivers and that of an Automatic Brake System in Simulated Critical and Non-Critical Driving Scenarios
2004
One evaluation of driver support systems in the past decade studied automatic brake interventions as the only support mode and adaptive cruise control and anti-collision as support functions. Workload and driver behavior were compared between unsupported and supported driving trials and driver acceptance of the system was examined. This paper provides a post-hoc analysis of braking events that this study recorded.
