SMART HOUSE REPLICATION WITH WEATHER CONDITIONS ON ROOF AUTOMATION BASED ON AT89S5 MICROCONTROLLER

This research is intended to make a smart home concept that is able to respond to changes in weather, especially rain. This smart house uses three sensors that complement each other. The sensor used is a temperature sensor (LM35DT), light sensors (LDR), and conductivity sensor which is sensitive to water, which all the inputs connected with the microcontroller AT89S51. This concept will be reading the weather conditions in the surroundings using its sensors. Output from these sensors will be an input to microcontroller AT89S51 that will process the information obtained in accordance with the program. Results of processing by the microcontroller AT89S51 information will determine the inputs that go into the output of this concept is the automatic roof which is controlled by a motor driver L293D. If the incoming information is information about the condition of rain, the roof will be closed automatically, so that will secure anything on underneath. This automatic roof will be open again if the information captured by the sensors is information about the condition of no rain. In the event of rainy conditions with special or unusual cases, it is provided on the concept of conductivity sensor which is sensitive to water, so the roof will be closed automatically if the sensors are exposed to water and will ignore the information coming into the two other sensors.
