Detection of Bacterial Endotoxins in Ophthalmic Balanced Salt Solution by Tachypleus Amebocyte Lysate Test

Objective: To establish a method for the detection of bacterial endotoxins in ophthalmic balanced salt solution.Methods: The experiment was carried out in accordance with appendix Ⅺ E of Chinese pharmacopoeia 2010 edition(Volume two).Results: The sample did not interfere the congregating reactivity of tachypleus amebocyte lysate with bacterial endotoxins.Conclusion: The method of tachypleus amebocyte lysate test is feasible for detecting the bacterial endotoxins in ophthalmic balanced salt solution.
