The incidence of toxoplasma antibodies in the Sudanese

A survey of the dye test titres of 461 patients in various areas of the Sudan showed 61% positive at 116 or more. In the Kordofan, Darfur and Southern Provinces of the country the incidence was only 22%, compared with almost 70% in the Northern Province. Although the population sampled consisted of hospital patients, attempts were made to exclude clinical cases of toxoplasmosis. Further work is needed on normal populations to confirm the geographical differences.
