Optimal parameters for Ka-band low-voltage magnetron with secondary-emission cathode

Analytical estimation of optimal parameters of pulse magnetron of 8mm-band with cool secondary-emission cathode operating under 6.5kV anode voltage in the mode of driftorbital resonance has been performed. Ability of the magnetron with analytically determined parameters to maintain the required energy characteristics is checked by the use of computational and 3D-simulation experiment. The possibility is shown to develop a functional magnetron with relatively low anode voltage and parameters that assure its wide range of application.
