Method for detecting combustion misfires

The invention relates to a method for detecting misfiring of an internal combustion engine, a parameter in which during operation of the engine by means of a physical measuring method determined cyclically, which changes due to a misfire, and in which closed to an occurrence of a misfire when an evaluation result of the measurement method is outside or within a predetermined range of values. It is envisaged that a further parameter is determined cyclically with another, different physical measuring method, which is also changed due to a misfire, and in that only then closed to an occurrence of a misfire, even if the evaluation result in the other method or outside of a predetermined range of values.
