A Study of Public Awareness about E – Waste

Recognizing the emerging and serious issue of Electronic waste, and its hazards, this paper has made a humble attempt to ascertain the awareness of e-waste among different sections of the society. The main objective of this research paper is to identify the level of awareness in the selected respondents about e-waste. The study is based on data collected from primary source through close ended questionnaire. The sample size of the respondents is 300, mostly consisting of students and academician followed by housewife and business persons. The respondents were selected through convenience sampling, which involves the sample being drawn from that part of the population which is close to hand. The data collected through questionnaire were analyzed using SPSS software.
