CAMINHOS PARA A PERMACULTURA POPULAR: EXPERIÊNCIA DE FORMAÇÃO DO GRUPO SAUIPE – SAÚDE INTEGRAL EM PERMACULTURA

The present work aims to discuss the contributions of Permaculture through a popular education perspective. It starts with a premise that there are different movements, which seek to solve problems related to a current situation of socio-environmental imbalance; therefore it is necessary to find alternatives to achieve urgent sustainability of human actions, among them, Permaculture, Agroecology and Ecopedagogy. In specific, it discusses the experience established by SAUIPE - Saude Integral em Permacultura (in English: Comprehensive Health Permaculture), a group of College students that develops education, research, and extension projects. This experience allowed an understanding of a necessary mediation of Permaculture with popular environment, enhancing environmental and human awareness actions among its participants.
