Discrete analysis method for structural correlation responses

1996
This paper presents a method for analyzing structural correlation responses. This method is based on a similar one for calculating structural mean and mean square responses. It is unconditionally stable and has second order accuracy. The formulations of the method are simple and easy to implement. Different excitation situations are considered which represent different load cases occurring in the practical engineering. Together with the foregoing methods for calculating structural mean and mean square responses, this method can further calculate the auto-correlation and spectral functions of the structural responses. So, a complete picture of the responses in the magnitude domain, the time domain and the frequency domain can be obtained. Some numerical examples are given to show the application of the method.
