Method and apparatus for uninterrupted forwarding of bi-directional forwarding detection in master-slave switch implementation

The invention discloses a method for realizing no interrupted forwarding of bidirectional forwarding detection (BFD) packet in active/standby changeover, which is applied to the technical field of IP network communication; when the active/standby changeover is carried out, the changeover terminal notifies the opposite terminal, and the BFD session management of the changeover terminal fails; the BFD session between the changeover terminal and the opposite terminal is stopped temporarily; after the active/standby changeover ends, the changeover terminal establishes a new BFD session to the opposite terminal, and the BFD session from the changeover terminal to the opposite terminal takes effect. The invention also provides a device for realizing no interrupted forwarding of BFD packet in the active/standby changeover, so as to realize no interrupted forwarding in the active/standby changeover supported by BFD.
