Breeding of Qiannuo 668, a new hybrid waxy maize variety with high yield, quality and multi-resistance.

Qiannuo 668,a new hybrid waxy maize variety with high yield,quality,fresh edible and dual-purpose type,was bred from the combination of 01WX and 168 by Guizhou Institute of Upland Crops.The average yield of Qiannuo 668 fresh ears was 13 023kg/hm2,9.0% higher than CK(Zhunuo 2) in Guizhou fresh edible maize regional tests during 2007-2008.Qiannuo 668 with good quality,strong adverse resistance and wide adaptability should be popularized in Guizhou and other similar ecological areas in China.
