Reabilitação da marcha baseado em esteira instrumentalizada, fortalecimento e alongamento dos membros inferiores em quatro pacientes acometidos por trauma nos membros inferiores

2007
This study had the aim to evaluate the evolution of a gait rehabilitation treatment performed in an Instrumented Treadmill applied for four subjects with gait difficulties caused by lower limb fractures. The sample was composed by male subjects. Two of them presented tibial and fibular fractures, one of them presented a femoral fracture and a calcaneous fracture. The evaluation was performed in a Gaitway® Instrumented Treadmill model 9810S1 (Kistler AG Winterthur, Suitzerland), with two force plates attached. The rehabilitation protocol consisted of stretching, gait practices on the Treadmill, strengthening and balance practices and gait practices outside the Treadmill. At the end of the rehabilitation process, it was verified a better shape of the Vertical Ground Reaction Force Curve for both limbs. The First Peak Force and the Second Peak Force showed a significant increase for the involved limb with a reduction of the Symmetry Index. Considering the Space_temporal variables, a significant increase was found for the Length for the involved limb, followed by a decrease of the Symmetry Index. A significant decrease of the Cadence for the involved limb and Base of Support for both limbs. All these changes characterize a gain in balance and gait coordination due to the applied treatment.
