Effect of trunk deformations in young scotch pine trees (Pinus sylvestris L.) on the formation of their reproductive sphere

The results of study of connection of post-traumatic deformations of pine tree trunk with indicators of reproductive sphere formation in young natural and artificial plantings of Scotch pine are presented. It was established that there are no reliable differences in the indicators of cones, seeds and seedlings between trees with the absence of trunk deformations and trees with various types of deformations. It is shown that the difference in the parameters of germination energy and germination of seeds between trees in natural and artificial young-growth pine stands.
