Sphotvad (psycholinguistics) and gestaltism

1998
The history of human thought has instances when the same truths have been observed in distant times and places by different scholars who, unknown of each other, propounded their own theories but meaning the same thing. Such is an example of Sphotvad of 800 B.C. and Gestaltism of 1912 A.D. Sphotayan a sage started the school of psycholinguistics and communication about 800 B.C. In India which is known as Sphotvad, the theories and arguments of which have remarkable similarities with modern Gestaltism. Perceptual gestalt is their common starting point but where the main plank of Gestaltism is visual perception, the Sphotvad has harped on auditory perception.
