THE RESEARCH OF KEY TECHNOLOGIES ON KU-BAND WIDEBAND LOW-NOISE AMPLIFIER

Low noise amplifier (LNA) is an important part as the front end of the radio astronomy receiver. The equivalent noise temperature of the LNA will determine the sensitivity of the microwave receiver. This paper introduced a design principle and method of a Ku band LNA and gave the simulation results. HEMT(High Electron Mobility Field-Effect Transistor) NE3210S01 of NEC Company was used in this three cascade structure amplifier. In 11~13 GHz,the gain is greater than 29.7dB,equivalent noise temperature less than 55K,input and output match better than -25dB.
