Provided is a mobile body detection system (100), comprising: a first wireless identification tag (102) which is appended to a mobile body (110), stores identification data for identifying the mobile body (110), and has a wireless communication function; a mobile body detection sheet (101) further comprising a plurality of second wireless identification tags (111) which are laid out in a region on which the mobile body (110) can move, store unique identification data, and have wireless communication functions, and a reader antenna (112) which is laid out beneath the plurality of second wireless identification tags (111) and transmits and receives signals between the first wireless identification tag (102) and the plurality of second wireless identification tags (111); and a mobile body identification means (103) for receiving, via the reader antenna (112), output signals outputted from the first and second wireless identification tags (102, 111), and identifying the mobile body (110) present on the mobile body detection sheet (101) and the location thereof on the basis of the received output signals.
