Structure and magnetic properties of mechanically ground ε-Fe2.3N
1994
The structure and magnetic properties of mechanically ground e- Fe2.3N alloy powders have been investigated by X-ray diffraction, vibrating sample magnetometer and Mossbauer spectroscopy. Even after milling of 300 h, the e- Fe2.3N alloy powders form only nanocrystallites and yield no phase transformation. Saturation magnetization of e- Fe2.3N initially increases and then becomes constant, indicating the homogeneous distribution of N atoms.
