X-Ray Topographic Study on Rochelle Salt Crystal
1983
Plane wave topographs of Rochelle salt crystal are taken at various temperatures for 440 reflection with MoKα1 radiation. The strong diffraction contrast due to the phase transition is observed. In the ferroelectric phase, double peaks are observed on the rocking curve. The separation of the peaks changes with temperature and a model for the possible explanation of its cause is proposed. A fine maze-like structure, which changes with temperature, is also observed in the ferroelectric phase.
