Sound protection of cavity floors Part 1: State of the development and difference in flanking transmission level After more than 20 years of development, a summary of current insights regarding the sound protection of cavity floors is provided, based on more than 500 measurements in an acoustics laboratory and several hundred measurements on site, with the latter invariably taking account of the combined effect of walls, ceilings, cavity floors and other components.
