Definition, Implementation, and Partial Validation of a Nonlinear Topology Optimization Algorithm
2016
The purpose of this chapter is to highlight some of the challenges that will be encountered when developing a nonlinear topology optimization algorithm through an example. Based on the previous chapters and sections, a new/adapted algorithm will be proposed, discussed, implemented, tested, and compared to “established” rivals. The intention is to inspire the reader to actively contribute to the continued development of optimization principles, methods, algorithms and software.
