Gebe Kadınlarda Herpes simplex Virus Tip-1 Ve 2, IgG ve IgM Antikorlarının, ELISA ile Araştırılması

ELISA in the sera of pregnant women. Material and Method: 8-10 ml venous blood were taken from 96 pregnant women in different periods of their pregnancies and centrifuged in Department of Microbiology, Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Laboratory of serology. The tests were performed in accordance with test guides and the results were read in EL-9 Microplate reader. Results: HSV-1 IgG was positive in 71/96 (%74) women. HSV-1 IgM was positive in only one women. HSV-2 IgG was positive in %62.5 (60/96) and IgM in %11.5 (11/96) women. The HSV-2 IgM seropositivity was seen between 15-30 years of age. Conclusions: In a community the HSV infection before and after the pregnancy is an important health problem especially for infants. Therefore, it is useful to investigate the HSV-1 and 2 antibodies in the pregnanat womens' sera. Key words: Pregnants, Herpes simplex virus, ELISA, Antibody
