Network cost savings and service differentiation using priority-driven sub-50ms shared mesh protection

This paper shows how shared mesh protection with prioritization of services and pre-emption of low-priority services, as defined in standards, G.808.3 and G.ODUSMP provide high network cost savings while enabling <50 ms recovery.
