The influence of parameter selection for Rényi phase permutation entropy on abnormal change detection

2019
Compared with amplitude, phase contains more important information. Renyi phase permutation entropy (RPPE), which introduces phase information into Renyi permutation entropy (RPE), is proposed in this paper. Using one-dimension simulation signal, a systematic study of the influence of window length, move step, embedding dimension, time delay and entropy parameter $q$ for RPE and RPPE on the abnormal changes detection are presented and we obtain a set of optimal values of these parameters. Furthermore, two electrocardiogram (ECG) signals are applied to analyze the influence of $q$ for the actual signal and the results show that increasing $q$ can enhance the ability of RPE and RPPE for detecting abnormal change. The analyses of simulation signal and actual signal illustrate that RPPE is more remarkable for detecting the abnormal change than RPE under the same conditions.
