Inexistir. Las estructuras discursivas de la invisibilidad en Jean-Luc Marion

2018
Following the extended phenomenological tradition, Jean-Luc Marion’s phenomenology of givenness is thought largely in light of the visual paradigm of philosophy. Hence the fundamental role it grants to appearing and the abundant use it makes of painting or image in the field of aesthetics. However, through an analysis of the problem of invisibility, the author shows that the phenomenology of givenness actually is structured discursively when thinking of God, love and the other. By separating it from the invisible and the unseen, one can propose to think this discursive invisibility, beyond the non-existent or the invisible, as the inexistent.
