Inhibition of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC)-induced microenvironment can restore dendritic cell (DC) activation and migration

2015
RESULTS: We identified 76 genes differentially overexpressed in metastatic compared to primary PDAC and normal tissues. High expression of this metastatic gene signature was associated with worse overall survival in 112 primary PDAC patients (15 mos vs 26 mos, p1⁄40.021). We evaluated our metastatic signature in a panel of 15 PDAC cell lines using microarray data, and found that 5 genes (ITGA2, ITGA3, MET, SLC16A3, GLUT1) were significantly overexpressed in our 7 highly invasive cell lines compared to 8 moderately or lowinvasive cell lines (p1⁄40.002). We then validated our results using qPCR and found that our highly invasive PDAC cell lines had higher expression of those 5 genes compared to our low-invasive cell lines (p1⁄40.127).
