Methods and apparatuses of identifying rfid tag based on dfsa considering capture effect

2012
The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for identifying a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag based on a dynamic framed slotted ALOHA (DFSA), which estimates the number of RFID tags when an RFID tag identification frame is started in an RFID system; estimates the number of RFID tags introduced while the frame is in progress; estimates the number of RFID tags more accurately than existing methods by considering a capture effect on the number of RFID tags recognized while the frame is in progress; and determining the size of an effective frame.
