TYPES OF ERROR RECOVERY IN AIR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT. IN: ENGINEERING PSYCHOLOGY AND COGNITIVE ERGONOMICS. AEROSPACE AND TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS

This paper presents a conceptual framework aimed at analyzing human error and error management events. The framework was applied to the analysis of 45 Swedish Air Traffic Management incidents involving 144 events. The goal is to get an indication of the robustness of the classification system of the errors, and to determine whether the framework can be used to produce insight into when errors are likely to be discovered and managed before system consequences have developed.
