Power transmission device for electric automobile

PURPOSE: To provide a power transmission device for an electric automobile which satisfies both a torque transmission condition and a reduction gear ratio condition required for the power transmission device for an electric automobile while reducing the size of a reduction gear. CONSTITUTION: The constituting elements, except a ring gear, out of two sets of planetary gear trains are used in common with each other as a reduction gear located between an electric motor 1 and a drive wheel 2. One side ring gear 33a is fixed to a case to form a first planetary gear type reduction gear 3 wherein a common pinion gear 32 forms an input member and a second ring gear 33b forms an output member. Further, the number of teeth of the second ring gear 33b is set to the number of teeth of the first ring gear + the number of pinions, and a plurality of common pinions 31 are arranged at equal intervals.
