Woody Allen ante el mito de Edipo

espanolEl trabajo aplica ciertos metodos y conocimientos propios de la Tradicion Clasica a una obra cinematografica. Se valora el vinculo existente entre una pelicula nor- teamericana contemporanea, Poderosa Afrodita de Woody Allen (Mighty Aphrodite, 1995) y el mito de Edipo. Para esto, se analiza como se ha adaptado la tematica, estructura y mensaje del mito; que modificaciones han experimentado estos aspectos, y que funcion cumple el mito dentro de la trama cinematografica. Asimismo, se considera la relacion de Woody Allen con las obras clasicas y las posibles fuentes que utilizo. Partiendo de la existencia de una relacion de mimesis entre ambos objetos, se determina de que tipo de mimesis se trata. EnglishThis work aims to establish a relationship between specific knowledge and methods of Classical Tradition with regard to a film work. In the analysis, the attention is drawn to the possible link between Mighty Aphrodite filmed by Woody Allen (1995) and the classical masterpiece Oedipus King. To achieve this, I analyze how the original topic, structure and message of the myth are adapted to the new version and look into modifications they go through. Furthermore, I examine what function the myth plays in the cinematographic plot. At the same time, I study the connection between the film director and the myth as well as the possible sources he used. Considering that there is a mimesis relationship between the myth and the film, it is shown what kind of mimesis it deals with.
