The effect of online role-playing games on the executive functioning skills of students with ADHD

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is affecting a minimum of 7.3% of Ecuadorian adolescents in the educational system. Although there has been research done, focusing on mental health aspect of the disorder, academic interventions seem to be lacking. The purpose of this proposal is to create a new approach that can potentially facilitate the learning process of students with ADHD. For this new approach, a digital and millennial friendly process is being sought out. The use of online role-playing games aligns with executive functioning that is lacking in students with ADHD.
