Retraction: Left atrial function and arterial hypertension

The editors and the publisher retract this paper (Del Colle et al. http://www.nature.com/jhh/journal/vaop/ncurrent/full/jhh200896a.html) due to similarites of a previously published paper by Stefanadis C, Dernellis J, Toutouzas P. A clinical appraisal of left atrial function. Eur Heart J. 2001 Jan;22(1):22-36. All five authors were notified and informed of the retraction. Two authors responded, including the lead author who maintained “inattention”.
