NUMERICAL EXPERIMENTS OF FOCUSED ULTRASONIC FIELDS (PART 1)

After confirming the agreement of numerical results of focused ultrasonic fields with experimental results in water, numerical experiments in two layered (water-steel) media and three layered media (water- 42 Alloy- Silicone) for normal incidence were performed. Oblique incidence (20 degree and 30 degree) angle results for two-layered (water-steel) media were also obtained. Several agreements between experiments and photo-elastic results are explained.
