Critical Acoustic Anomaly of a Binary Mixture of Nitroethane and Cyclohexane with Acetone Impurity in the Frequency Range of 0.3–3 MHz
1992
The ultrasonic absorption coefficient a has been measured in a critical binary mixture of nitroethane and cyclohexane (NE/CH) with acetone impurity in the frequency range of 0.3–3 MHz. The critical anomaly of the ultrasonic absorption in the binary mixture with impurity has been analyzed on the basis of the dynamic scaling function proposed by Ferrell and Bhattacharjee (FB). From this procedure, we have succeeded in estimating the characteristic angular frequency of concentration fluctuation and its impurity effect.
